I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I still have one more Christmas card that I have not entered it in any challenges yet. Here's Rudolph, I gave him a red nose using Stickles glitter.
Christmas Craft Creations - Christmas Scene
This is a scene I watercolored from scratch (yes, I know it shows! LOL). I watched this video and she makes it look really easy but it took me 6 TRIES. Yes, 6 tries before I liked my trees enough to post this. (Still not loving my trees)

I just love these Easy Tape Stripe Watercolor cards that Sandy Allnock did a few months back and had to duplicate it with this stamp, also by Colorado Craft Company. You can watch her video here. She makes it look super easy but it took me 3 tries to get it right. I used a little gold glitter stickles on the bow. Part of my problem was my washi tape kept sticking onto the paper when I tried to take it off and then it would ruin the card. I then remembered to hold the tape on my clothes for a few seconds, rip it off, then tape it to the card so it wouldn't stick and that worked.
Here is another stamp from the UK I recently bought from Topflight Stamps based out of South Carolina. I used my Taylored Expressions circle stencil for the sun and made my own stencil for the grass out of cardboard. Watercolored using Jane Davenport watercolors. He was fun to color.
I only send out a handful of New Year's cards and this is one I always reach for each year to send to different people.

And another cute stamp from Anita Jeram!!! Found at Colorado Craft Company. I watercolored these using my Jane Davenport watercolors.

I just "adore" ALL images by Anita Jeram and this is from her latest release. You can find them at Colorado Craft Company. I told myself I was completely done with my Christmas cards, but I have to make some with these images right? LOL
I've made this Christmas card in many different versions this year. I kept them simple this year.

So I have always liked these stamps by Katzelkraft. They are in the UK and I have only seen them ONCE at my stamp store and that was many years ago. That stamp store is at least an hour away so I just buy online now. Well, I recently found Topflight Stamps and they are based in SC which is the state right next to NC so I bought a few of their stamps when they were on sale over Black Friday weekend. I inked this cute raccoon up and colored him for my hubby's birthday. We have had the worst month with raccoons digging in our yard!! We finally had to buy a trap, we have caught 3 different ones and released them at a park about 10 miles away. We haven't seen any in a week so I am hoping we've got them all as they were literally destroying our yard to pieces. The stamps came super fast - in 2 days!!
Just Add Ink - Sketch #583
My favorite all time stamp by Purple Onion is this snowman stamp. I have had him for about 10 years, whenever he first came out and I always use him over the winter months :). This sentiment is also by Purple Onion Designs and is in their latest release.
We have never had a white Christmas in NC where I live but it has snowed ONCE on Christmas Eve a few years ago. Of course, going up in FL we never had a white Christmas then either. LOL

I like these new distress mica flakes by Tim Holtz. You add them using Glossy Accents underneath (which acts like glue) and they dry pretty fast. They are a bit bulky in a card if you use too many so I keep it to a minimum. Tim also told a tip when adding them, just let them fall where they land. They look much better that way than placing them where you want. I also added aurora lights to the sky (you may have to squint your eyes to see it LOL) - I learned that in Kristina Werner's online holiday card class a few weeks ago. I used Hero Arts white pigment ink and just did a sweeping motion with a sponge. I need to work on that technique more!
