Boo

Happy Halloween!!  We don't usually get a lot of trick or treaters here on Halloween as our neighborhood only has 10 houses in it and lots of empty lots in between the houses. The weather man is also calling for RAIN all day too so that is not helping either. I have a huge bag of candy so I am ready and hope we get our normal "10" or so, despite the rain.

So one more Halloween card using this awesome stamp set :).

Happy Howl-O-Ween!

One more Halloween card. I could not resist this stamp by Technique Junkies I saw at the show last week. I am mailing this to my daughter who is a dog lover :).

You are not alone ...

I have had my eyes on these stamps and die set by Taylored Expressions for MONTHS. They have been sold out. Then, low and behold I saw them at the stamp show last week and I had to have them. These sentiments are so fun and line up perfectly with the die. The sentiments are actually on one piece of rubber then you cut them out with your die and you have multiple sentiment strips whenever you need them. I got 2 different ones while I was there and I see she even has more out that I need to check out. You can find them here.

I love this technique called Duoprinting with chlorophyll and you can see the video here. You literally go outside, find a leaf, put it through your big shot machine and voila! Out comes this image. Easy peasy and it makes a lovely card!

I am sending this one to one of my chemo angels who I send cards to twice a week. You can check out the chemo angel website here if you want to send cards or gifts to those who are getting chemo treatments. It took me about 3 weeks to get placed with my angel and it has been awesome! Every once in a while you get asked to be a substitute chemo angel because the person has an emergency come up so I have one of those too but she "graduates" from chemo at the end of October.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs.

I follow this girl on Instagram and she makes the most amazing watercolor pieces. You can see it here. I was very pleased with my results and I decided to make this into a wedding card for my friend's daughter who is getting married Nov 1st and then moving to Alaska.

Had a great time at the Sevierville, TN stamp show

This is my first time posting using my cell phone so we’ll see if it works. Here are a few pics from the show yesterday. It was so fun with lots of new stamps to see. I did a couple of make and takes. I was surprised to see these companies now charge $1-$2 to make each one, but it was still fun. I finally tried foiling and it was so easy.

Starting November 1, I will be on the Cut It Up Design Team

I’m very excited to announce that I am now on the design team at Cut It Up. I love using all of my dies so I think this will be so much fun!!! Look for my new posts and I can't wait to see what you all create at Cut It Up.

Here is a view of the leaves as I was driving through the Smokey Mountains yesterday. Aren't they pretty??? The cooler temperatures have also arrived and I had to bundle up to walk at 42 degrees. Brrrr!!

May Your Holiday Sparkle

These tiny snowglobes are so cute to fill up with these stamps by Flora & Fauna. They make for a quick and easy Christmas card. And that's what I prefer since I send out about 50 cards :).

I won’t be posting for about a week as I am headed to a wonderful stamp show in Sevierville, TN for a couple of days. It’s been several years since I’ve been to a stamp show and this one is a 4 hour drive for me, then on to see my aunt in Cincinnati for a few days. I’m really looking forward to seeing new stamps and products and I’ve even signed up for a “shaker card” class. I HAVE ALWAYS struggled with shaker cards so maybe this will help! (PS - I do have some BIG NEWS so I will hop on tomorrow to share that and then will likely not post again until next Thursday or Friday, unless of course I post pics from the stamp show and I can figure out how to download them from my phone to my blog)

Hope Your Days are Bright Again Soon

I love this rainbow set by Concord & 9th. Each rainbow stripe is a different stamp so you can ink up each one in a different color. Some have patterns, some don't. The words, since they are clear stamps, form into whatever shape you want so they go around the rainbow rather nicely. I teamed it up with this llama stamp by Whipper Snapper. His name is Kuzco. Isn't he the cutest? I colored him with copic markers.
