It was 20 years ago today that I moved to Charlotte the first time ...

It was February 25, 1989 that I packed up from FL (after living there my whole life) and moved to the Carolinas. There was 12" of snow ON THE GROUND and I remember thinking "what is all that sand on the ground?" LOL I laugh at that now of course but I had never seen so much snow like that stacked on the ground. I lived here for 10 years, then we moved back to FL and now we are back in the Carolinas again (for 3+ years). It sure doesn't seem like 20 years ago that I moved here the first time. I usually can't remember things. I wonder why I remember this date. I know why, it was also the same day I had a car wreck in my Honda Prelude. What year I don't remember but I think that's why I can remember the "date" as I had 2 things to remember this day.

Meet Luvvie!!

This is one of my favorite new stamps. I have actually had her a few weeks. I got her from Funky Kits over in Scotland. I believe 5 new girls will be coming out real soon and I think I may have to have some of those too. Have you seen the sneak peaks that are out? Catch a Falling Star is one, Keep Watching is one, One for Laura is another, Fancy Cup of Tea is another and Celebrate is the last one. I can't wait until they become available.

Another Rubber Cottage image

I love this bird. I have no idea what kind of bird this is but it looks good yellow don't you think? I think I will give this to my MIL for her birthday (in July!). lol I also used chalks on this image too. (Why don't I use my chalks more often?)

I love this horse stamp ...

and just had to get it at the stamp convention yesterday. I don't own a single horse stamp and I just love the fence too. This stamp is by Rubber Cottage. I think I bought 4 or 5 stamps from Rubber Cottage. I used my chalks on this too.

Alpaca show or Rubberstamp show????

Hmmm, that is the question of the day!! LOL This morning Charlie was kidding and said do you want to go to the alpaca show (we've gone the last 2 years) or to the rubberstamp convention in Columbia?!! WHAT? A rubber stamp show is close by? Heck, let's go to that. So off we went. I say "we" because he wanted to go to a train store somewhere in Columbia so he did that while I went to the stamp convention. It was a small stamp show but I managed to help the economy and spent some $$$!!! In fact, here is what I bought (see above).

A few Easter cards I made today

With Valentine's Day almost behind us, Easter is the next holiday I send cards for so I sat down and made these 2 cards.

Its been a whole week since I've posted?

Where did the week go? Happy Valentine's Day to everybody!! I do have to register Nicholas for soccer and Emily's soccer season starts Monday. Emily also has to register for next year's classes already ... its hard to believe she's going to be a senior next year.

A free digital download

My new stamping friend Susan found this website in the UK called Pollycraft and told me about it. They have neat stamps and digital downloads. We love to enable to each other. Right Susan? Anyway, if you go to Pollycraft's blog, they have a free digital download right there that you can print off. That's how I made this card. I think this makes a cute Valentines card, don't you?

A few Valentine cards

I got these cute Lilly and Billy images yesterday from my friend Susan so I had to make some cards with them.
