I used my Oxide inks to color in the background.

As You Like It - Favorite non-card project and why

So many of my friends have started quilting so I finally bit the bullet, got out my sewing machine and sewed a few totes. I watched Jenny's you tube video over and over and she really does make it look super easy. I found that once I made one, I wanted to make another. Then, I found myself going to stores and looking at fabrics. What to make next?

I find myself really enjoying sewing these bags and I love the end results. I wanted a new hobby and this is why I am loving it!! People will be so shocked to see I actually made these! LOL

Maybe I will even make a few as Christmas gifts this year?!?

Cards in Envy - Fruits of your Labor

Happy Labor Day!!  For the challenge at Cards in Envy this week, we are to make a card that with the "Fruits of your Labor" on it (meaning any card with fruits on it, bananas, apples, watermelons, etc.).All cards must fit into a standard size envelope for easy mailing. I decided to use this cute fruit cardstock by Recollections that I found at Michael's.  

I can't believe it's Labor Day already! Where did the summer go?  Of course, here in NC, its still very much summer with hot hot hot temperatures but once Labor Day comes, it just seems like Fall is just around the corner! 

I'm loving this set by Stampin Up.  I had this embossed "fruity" cardstock in my stash so I used that as the background paper.

My Time to Craft - Christmas in August

For my texture I used "Snow-Tex". It was the first time I had used this and I really like it. It dried relatively quick and it looks like real snow. This card has a lot of dies on it and I wanted it to look like snow in between the layers.

Snowman

I made this cute snowman card using this awesome Waterfront Stampin Up set. This is the BEST stamp set in my opinion that Stampin Up has right now. I have used it for so many things!! I saw this idea on Pinterest so I did not make it up on my own. It makes a great snowman card, don't you think?
