Keep Calm and Float On

I was so excited when I saw this stamp/die set on some of the Instagram stories I followed from CHA that I ordered it the day it came out and I got it in the mail 3 days later. I ordered it directly from Avery Elle and I just love it and I had to play with it right away. Even though it's still winter, I made a couple of summer birthday cards since I knew exactly what I wanted to make. For the swimming pool, I used this specialty paper I found at Michael's called "Foil Paper" by Recollections.

There's a little story behind this card. I decided to use all 3 donuts as the floats since my 2 friends and I used to frequent Dunkin Donuts quite a bit "back in the day". So this card has all of us floating on our donut rafts :). I thought the "sunglasses" button was perfect for this too :).

Now I want to float on a donut raft eating a DONUT :). Only if it was WARMER, of course!

Cards in Envy - Love You So Much

The first challenge for February at Cards in Envy's challenge is "Love You So Much". You can see the challenge here. All cards must fit into a standard size envelope for easy mailing.

Valentine's Day is next week so I dug out my Valentine images and stamped a few cards. This Riley image is an oldie, but a goody. I've used him many times over the years and he is perfect for Valentine's Day cards. To make the background, I first stamped the different shapes of hearts using Tim Oxide "Fired Brick" ink. Then, I die cut the wonky stitched oval by My Favorite Things and colored Riley with Copic markers.

I found this cool envelope liner die set by Sizzix at my Hobby Lobby. I decided to use the hearts on this liner since I am mailing this Valentine's card in it.

I first stamped the frame and thought "I wonder if this llama would fit" and sure enough, he did! I colored him with my Jane Davenport watercolors and stamped the heart in red ink.

Happy Birthday with the "top down" lol

It's 35 degrees here today so I thought it would be fun to post this cute llama driving his car with "the top down". I just love this little llama set!!
