I've had some health issues going on since March, especially losing weight, almost 30 pounds. I got down to almost 100 pounds which I have not been that small since middle school. I knew I had something wrong and I feared it was cancer but I finally got a good GI dr that ordered a stomach emptying test back in September and I had to eat some radioactive scrambled eggs, toast and water. I was at the hospital for this 4 hour test. They x-rayed my stomach every hour to see how far the food had moved. At 4 hours, I was supposed to have 10% left and I had 50% left which gives me the diagnosis of moderate gastroparesis. It is a chronic illness (it means my stomach is not digesting my food properly) and there's only 1 FDA approved medicine in the US for this condition. The rare side effects to this drug "Metoclopramide" are tics and tremors. The tremors could be as bad as those who have Parkinson's Disease and can be PERMANENT. For that reason, I refuse to go on that medicine. I have been taking Erythromycin but that is a temporary solution. I am eating 5-6 smaller meals a day so I digest my food better. I go back for my 5 week check up today and wondering what is the next step. It has really put a pause on my stamping but I will try and keep doing it since it brings me so much joy! Luckily, all my Christmas cards are done and I even have one on its way to Scotland. Let's see if she posts in my comments :).
So for this card, I cut out a oval and added the critters in bed to the inside of the bed and Santa is outside. Isn't he just the cutest?
On to the challenges I have entered:
