Nativity

This card was so easy to make, I used patterned paper from Hobby Lobby. No need to ink blend on the background!! Cut out die cut, add some glitter and voila, all done!! Very easy to mass produce.

Trick or Treat Diorama

I wish I had set my timer for making this diorama and it took me 4 TRIES . Yes 4 tries to get it right. One of the problems I was having is I don't have a slim enough die cut long enough and I don't have an exacto knife (I'm afraid of using them) so I cut this shorter than the example. Mine is 5" wide instead of 6 1/2". That way I could use a smaller die cut for my middle and not have such wide sides. Hope this makes sense! Anyway, I dug out more Halloween critters to make this card. I do like how it came out even though it took me well over an hour to complete this card!! Whew!! Now I need a nap! LOL  Here is the tutorial on Splitcoast complete with a video should you want to try to make one. It does lay flat to mail but I am going to keep it on my desk for ME as it makes me smile :).

A Treat for You

Lift Challenge - Challenge #173 (On this challenge, we are to stamp a repeated image and then stamp another stamp on top of those stamps. Here, I chose an image from Reverse Confetti, then stamped a solid circle stamp over each one in a different color. I have never done this technique before. I love learning new things after 25+ years stamping!)

They had a huge 40% and then 60% off sale so I placed a large order. I got my stamps within 3 days!! I hate to see her go but I will enjoy my new stamps. PEACE Love and Joy

This card took me a few tries to get it right. This technique is called Double Stamped Vellum and you can find the directions here at Splitcoast Stampers. First, I stamped the black stick wreath in Stazon ink. I let that dry. I flipped the vellum over and embossed the white dots on the opposite side of the vellum. It shows through nicely when turned around. In my first card, I had also embossed the love and joy sentiment in black but it curled the paper so badly, I restamped it in regular stazon ink. I love that big PEACE die cut by Papertrey Ink.

I just love this image so much as I do love to make s'mores but rarely ever make them!! I used some white Nuvo drops to make the marshmallows look "real". If your lucky enough to have a birthday in the Fall months, I decided to make a few of these for my Fall birthday friends.
