As You Like It - Favorite Animal and Why

I've  loved llamas for a long time. They are just so
cute, cuddly (ok, maybe not that cuddly but they
look like that to me) and they seem to be
pretty friendly whenever I've been around one.
And llamas are all the rage right now,
wouldn't you say? They are EVERYWHERE!!

Hope - Donate Life rocks

I was honored when Megan Murphy, who founded the Kindness Rock Project 4 years ago, reached out to me asking if she could feature my "Donate Life" rocks to her fb page this week. I have several book stamps but they all have women in them so I found one that I could use and cut the books out and put it with this cute sloth (originally the sloth was hugging a big balloon). He's so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 cat cards

I just love this cat stamp I found at Hobby Lobby by Stampendous. It's a Laurel Burch image and I have always loved her images! I know Hobby Lobby had one other one of hers that I "need" to go back and get it especially since all stamps are 40% off this week. (and I especially the stamp itself is in the shape of an actual cat!)

Rainbows and Unicorns

These are more rocks I made for our Harrisburg + Rocks Facebook group to hide. It's raining today but I plan to hide these in a few days and hopefully it will brighten someone's day.

I just happen to find this awesome unicorn and rainbow napkins at Marshall's yesterday so I decided to modge podge them onto some rocks and then I will hide them for kids/adults to find and hopefully make their day :).

This fits perfectly into the following challenges:

After adhering the napkins to the rocks using Saran Wrap,
I added the words using my paint pens I got at
Walmart. For the rainbow, I added gold dots around the
rainbow using a paint brush and gold acrylic paint.

First, I cut the rainbows and unicorns out of the napkin
Then I used Modge Podge to "glue" it onto the rocks.

I used Saran Wrap to help get the wrinkles
out before I adhered it to the rock

This package of napkins was at
Marshall's for $2.99. I found
it in the back. I had no idea
Marshall's had so many
different kinds of napkins.
I've only seen them near the
checkout.

Rock Painting Event

We had a rock painting event at our local Lowe's Foods this weekend and we had about 40-50 people turn out to paint rocks. Each kid or adult painted a rock (or 2), left it with us to seal later and then they took a rock that we had already painted with them. Everyone had a great time as you can see from the pics below. This was our 3rd time at Lowe's Foods and even though we love it there, we are looking into finding a bigger venue since each time we do it, more and more people come.

Celebrate You Graduation

I made this graduation card for my cousin's son who is graduating this summer and going onto college in the Fall. For the background, I did the Polished Stone technique and I watched this video. For mine, I used Stampin Up ink pads refills and rubbing alcohol onto glossy card stock (I only had Yupo glossy cardstock to use)

Cards in Envy - It's Birthday Party Time!

For this week's challenge at Cards in Envy, the challenge is "It's Birthday Party Time".  You can see the challenge here. All cards must fit into a standard size envelope for easy mailing. 

This owl and hot cocoa stand just makes me "happy"!!  I colored him using Jane Davenport water-color paints. I added some washi tapes on the side. I'm loving this turquoise and red combination.

It's no secret I love my Jane Davenport watercolors. I had 2 palettes of her colors - Bright and Neutral so I was excited to see when a 3rd palette came out called Glitz-Sea. They can be found at Michael's and I always use a coupon so they are about $18 with a 40% off coupon. When they first came out, they were impossible to find but now I was able to go right to my Michael's and find the new one on the shelf. (Not sure how long its been out though).

This cute image reminds me of my friend's dog Minnie who is a miniature doberman pincher. Her birthday is next week so I will be mailing this on Monday.

Here is another sloth card made by this amazing sloth set I got at Hobby Lobby once they did their remodel in our store. It's by Impression Obsession and I've already made several cute cards with it. I  used my Tombow markers and water to color this stamp.

Here's the Scoop

Michael's has these brand new embossing folders with a matching stamp for $2 (for the complete set) and I love this ice cream one they had. I found out I have to use 2 pieces of paper when putting it through my Big Kick-otherwise, it will cut right through. So I ended up making a stencil out of this one I did and then I made this card.

Fun Animals

I got out my Eat Cake Graphics stamps to make this card. I have had these stamps for YEARS and I still love them!! For the animals, I colored them using my Tombow markers and water on watercolor paper. The clouds are by Stampendous. For the background, I used my Tim Holtz Oxide ink. And I added some Stickles gold glitter to the star, under the chicken.

Cards in Envy - Get Negative

For this week's challenge at Cards in Envy - we are to "Get Negative", which means to create a card using the NEGATIVE space of a die or a punch. You can see the challenge here. All cards must fit into a standard size envelope for easy mailing.

For this card, I used my Impression Obsession dog die to cut out the one on the right. Then I die cut the dog a 2nd time in black and put him next to the one that is in the "negative" space. I put some pink patterned paper underneath. A super easy card for a friend's birthday.
