Another Mother's Day card I never got around to posting. This is similar to others but in different colors.

Speaking of mom's, I just got back from visiting my mom in FL. I hadn't seen her since Covid so it was great to visit my mom and my sister!! My sister is recovering from having Shingles in her eye - its been pretty bad but she's on the mend. She got it the day after Christmas and continues to have pain from it.

Stamped Books

I made these books for my godchild for her birthday. I found books at Salvation Army for 49 cents EACH (yes they are real books and I tore the covers off and just stamped on the sides of them). The trick to these are getting books thick enough on the spine so the stamped letters fit and I had taken a strip of paper the width of the spine with letters and held them up to each book. Some books are thinner than others so you have to be careful about that. I also tried to get all the same width books to go together but as you can see here, the bottom one is wider but the hearts fit on it fine. Her kitchen is 50's retro and the ribbon matches her black and white tile in their kitchen.

We just got back from a few days at the beach and it was wonderful!!! It's been 3 years since we went to the Outer Banks. It's about 5 1/2 hour drive for us so not too far. Had a great time!  It was actually a lot cooler there than here at home.

Our daughter turns 3-0 next month. HOLY COW, how can this be when I am not even that old? LOL  I made her this card using The Greetery's VW that I find myself playing with over and over. Yes, there are 30 balloons on the card :).  I wonder if she'll count them all ?

It Takes a Strong Mom to be a Great Mom

This is the card I sent to my mom for Mother's Day. She has Alzheimer's and is in an assistant living home down in FL. She used to love to go the strawberry festival in Plant City, FL for many, many years. I'm not sure she can remember going but I had fun making this card for her. Stamps by Colorado Craft Co. Strawberries and basket set by The Greetery.  Notice the chocolate covered strawberry at the bottom? Those are my favorite! Which by the way, our daughter gave me some for Mother's Day and they are delicious!! I may even have one for breakfast this morning to start my day off right. LOL

Wanna Go for a Swim?

It's Mothers Day in the US today so HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all!!  I wish I was on one of floats today but its a little chilly today!! We were in the upper 80's all last week and now this morning I woke up to 49 degrees. 

The kids are coming over today and making me brunch - eggs, bacon, pancakes and not sure what else :). 

This is such an easy card to color by Hero Arts. I popped up some of the rafts and layered them on top and also added some glitter :). The waves also have a glittery pen added.

Happy Dinosaur Birthday!

When I saw these dinosaur die cuts marked down 2 weeks ago at Hobby Lobby for $5, I had to get them!! I had no idea who I was going to make a card for but then I remembered my son's girlfriend has 2 little boys and this is perfect for one of them. I was going to attempt to just do dots for the dirt but found this stamp from Concord & 9th in my stash so I used that. Easy card for the win!

Friends are like flowers, they brighten your day

It's hard to make out this hummingbird and I even backed him up on black paper but he's there. I have 3 hummingbirds so far this year - 2 males and 1 female. I love watching them at my feeders.
