Another Christmas card in July

Christmas Card Throwdown - Red/Green/Brown
Shopping Our Stash - Christmas in July

I picked this die up at Hobby Lobby in January, in the Christmas markdowns. It was originally $24.99 and I got it for $6.25. How could I pass that up? For the background, I tried Jennifer McGuire's paint dragging technique with acrylic paints and an old credit card. It's really very easy and you can get neat backgrounds. You can see her video here. I didn't have any brown cardstock so I had to make my own using Catherine Pooler's brown inks - Sand Castle and Icing On the Cake. I smeared it onto a ziplock bag, sprayed some water and put the watercolor cardstock into it. Let dry, then die cut out my piece. Easy peasy!! I do like this die better using black cardstock but since this one challenge called for red/green and brown, I am going with this. I have a pretty good head start on my holiday cards because of these challenges. How about you?
