Twofer Card Challenge - Birds
Moving Along with the Times - Hearts
Art Impressions - Hearts
Creative Knockouts - In stitches
I'm loving how these 2 cards came out. I used the same stamps but did 2 different techniques. It was so much fun trying the Stencil Transfer Batik technique that I saw on Lydia's blog today. You can see her blog here and her youtube video here. It was fun to try and I had fun with my gel press and acrylic paints.
For this card, I used my acrylic paints onto this stencil by Recollections. For the owl stamp (Unity Stamp Company), I colored him using Copic markers. Sentiment by Amuse ArtStamps |
For this card, I used the above stencil and did the Stencil Transfer Batik technique that I saw on Lydia's youtube channel and you can see it done here. I love how it gives such a subtle look of the hearts in the background. I colored the owl with my Koi watercolor paints. |

Really cute cards! That's a really cool background technique you did with the stencil. I like how it created two completely different looks. Thanks for joining in on the fun of the Lots of Hearts Challenge on the Art Impressions blog. Jil
