Happy New Year!

Here's another New Years card I made using Gerda Steiner's brand new digital image that you can find free right here. Aren't these mice cute?? I used Tim Holtz label letters for the sentiment. Those really come in handy when I don't have the exact sentiment I need.

Not my Prob-Llama!

This sketch was not easy and it took me awhile for it to all come together. I dug out my llama washi tapes and my llama stamp by Flora & Fauna and came up with this card. I know exactly who I am sending it to :).

Happy Birthday

I started following this blog about a month ago and I just love her clean, simple designs. This card especially caught my eye and I thought "hey, I want to try that." So I did.

Using my circle die cut from Memory Box, I cut out the largest circle. I sponged on different colors of Oxide inks to make the awesome rainbow of colors. I did mask each color off before sponging them on so they didn't run into each other. (The Oxide ink colors I used were: Cracked Pistachio, Spiced Marmalade, Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberries, and Wilted Violet - all my favorites!)  I figure it's the perfect backdrop for this adorable moose image by Purple Onion Designs.

Since I'm on the Cards in Envy design team, I am not entering it in their challenge per se' but you can see it there.

Happy Christmas Eve!!  I can't believe Christmas is almost here!!  I am ready!  Are you????  I made a yellow card today using these coffee/hot cocoa stamps by Verve Stamps. I am sending it to a friend :).

I'm published in Just Christmas Cards!

Peace on Earth

With Christmas being less than a week away, I decided to do one more Christmas card. This one I used the Friday Free Image put out by Bugboo Digital Images. I colored it with Copics and then added some Stickles glitter for the snow. I used a piece of embossed cardstock and I went over with it Tim Holtz Oxide ink (Broken China).

Hello - llama style

This set by Flora and Fauna right now is one of my new favorites. Why?  It has cute cars with a llama, fox, raccoon or an owl you can add to the cars. It's just so cute!! But of course, the llama is what "sold" me the set!!  It's called Love Bug Set and you can find it here. I ordered directly from them and got it super fast, just a few days!!

Cards in Envy - Framed with Circles

1 week until Christmas - ARE YOU READY???

Cards in Envy's last challenge for 2017 is "Framed in Circles". You can see the challenge here. All cards must fit into a standard size envelope for easy mailing. I made a cute cat birthday card for my friend Joanie today.

For this card, I stamped the same circle stamp into a different color of the Tim Holtz oxide inks all around the card. I used the colors Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, and Peacock Feathers. I think these are my favorite colors out of all the Oxide inks! Then I stamped the cat and colored him with Jane Davenport watercolor paints. I added a tiny bit of glitter using my glitter pen on his nose and whiskers (not sure if it shows up or not here).

Happy New Year

The new year will be here in 2 weeks. WOW!

When Unity Stamps came up with this adorable snowman, there was no doubt in my mind, I had to have him!!  Isn't he just the cutest?  I colored him using my Tombow markers and water. For the magenta piece behind the snowman, I didn't have that color paper so I just made it by using my Tombow marker #665 on the edges of the paper so it would match his/her scarf perfectly.

Oh Christmas Tree!

Christmas is in 2 weeks. Every time I "think" I'm ready, then I remember something else I need to get.

This little Christmas tree image at Bugaboo Stamps is free right now and you can find her here but you have to act quick, because it's only for a few days. I paper pieced the Christmas tree skirt. I have always loved plaid tree skirts so I love how this came out :).

Happy Birthday!

I've always loved this birthday image of 2 old gals enjoying some birthday cake. The person I'm sending this to loves bling on her clothes so I added some glitter to her bright pink shirt along with some glitter to the candles which are burning on the cake.

As soon as I saw this new Mama Elephant snowman stamp set, I knew it was going to be my Christmas card this year. I love it and colored it with Copics. The background I sponged with Oxide inks.

Cards in Envy's first challenge for December is Jingle All the Way (anything with a bell on your card) You can see the challenge here. All cards must fit into a standard size envelope for easy mailing. 

I looked high and low through my stamps and no bells whatsoever. I had to get creative so I thought why not cut out an image of a bell. I tried doing it free-hand and it did not resemble any type of bell so I googled "bell" images and found one printed it off and made this scene in it.

This snowman stamp is from Unity Stamps. I had to mask around the snowmen to get the trees in the background around them. The tree stamp is from Hero Arts. I colored with Copics. Then I added glitter to the bottom for the snow.

I am in love with this llamas. And a lot of my friends know I have an obsession with llamas. I have llama leggings, llama jammies and llama socks. Why am I fascinated with them? I just think they are cute!! When we closed on our house many years ago, the family had a pair of llamas and the mommy llama gave birth on the day we closed. We were lucky enough to have these llamas stay at our house after we closed for about a month because it wasn't safe to move the baby until then. Ever since then, I have loved llamas ;).
