Bonds of Friendship

My friend Terry in California unexpectedly lost her son a year ago. It was a year on Jan 29th. He was only in his 20's I believe. So young!! I found this poem on the internet and thought it would be perfect to send her a card and let her know I'm thinking about her during this difficult time. She loves moose (as do I) so I found this in my digital images (not sure who makes it).

Sarah in Australia sent me this Aussie calendar for 2011. Isn't it cute? Of course, I had to make her a thank you card. This stamp set is from Stampendous and I got it at Archivers over the summer (this is the first time I've used it too!).

Finally, made it to 10 lb weight loss

and we have school today for the first time in over a week. I've been hanging in there with the scale and finally, it paid off. I can tell my shirts are feeling looser and my jeans are falling off so i can tell somethings happening, I just like to see it on the scale too :).

The snow has almost finally melted. I'm not sure we've ever had snow last all week like that in the 5 years we've been here!! And its only January!!

I haven't made any cards in awhile but I see a few Shackie birthdays are coming up so I need to do that. Maybe today?

Time to think Valentine's

I never used to send out Valentine cards but since I have some cute Valentine images, I thought why not make some cute cards? In fact, I am going to cut way back on my spending this year. I want to use what I have and don't get any new stamps for awhile. I dusted off my mini sewing machine and sewed on these cards. I haven't sewed in awhile and it was fun :).

I cleaned out my stamps today

and I will be selling a bunch. I don't know if I will do it at the Stamp Shack or at the stamp store at the used stamp sale in May. It felt good to clean!!

We are waiting for another snowfall. 2 snowfalls in 1 winter? That's almost unheard of. LOL But I am ready. I got my milk and bread and I have the sleds all ready to go :).

Emily went back to school yesterday. She wanted to get out of town before the snow hit. They may get snow too on Monday which is her first day of classes so I wonder if she will have school that day!?!?
