I love the new Tim Holtz oxide inks

Have you tried the new Tim Holtz oxide inks?  I finally found some at Michael's up in Cincinnati last week and I decided to only buy 3 colors so I could try them out. I bought: Broken China, Wilted Violet and Cracked Pistachio. I love what these inks will do that regular distress inks will not. These inks blend beautifully together where with distress inks, they can be somewhat blending challenged. Also, you can stamp directly ONTO the stamp with these ink pads where you don't get a clear crisp image when you do it with distress inks.

While I was in FL this past week, I stopped at 3 different Michael stores and 1 Joann's to see if they had any oxide inks and they had ZERO. So today I looked at eBay and decided to order 5 more colors. I can't wait to get them and play with them next week.

I used the oxide inks for the background of the card and I also stamped the cactus stamp directly into the inks.

Margarita's anyone?

As You Like It - Favorite Fruit (and why)
Little Miss Muffet - Anything Goes
Die Cuttin Divas - Summer Food
Brown Sugar - Anything Goes

I love ALL fruits in the summertime but I especially love pineapple. I love it on pizza, I love it in fruit salads, I love pineapple upside down cake and I love it by itself.  It's so sweet and I could eat it everyday!

I used the new Lawn Fawn Color Slider die for this card. This die cut makes it soooo easy to make a slider card.

A truck with some washi!

With Father's Day just around the corner, I pulled out my washi tape and this truck stamp and voila! A cute man's card if I do say so myself :).

Have you tried the new Magic Color Slider yet by Lawn Fawn?

My stamp store had these in stock so I was pretty excited to get it before it flew off the shelves. I watched a you tube video and I could not wait to try it.  It took me a few tries to get it right but I finally can do them now with no "issues". One issue I had was I found out I had to use 1/8" thick double sided tape. It makes it SO MUCH easier to slide in and out. Anything bigger than 1/8" is too wide and you have to cut it to fit and it just was not working right.
