Give thanks with a grateful heart

I have been stamping for about 20 years. In these 20 years, I have enjoyed several different methods of coloring. Watercoloring is probably my #1 favorite. Copic markers are my 2nd. I have always struggled with Copic markers and I'm not sure why. Everyone else colors with them beautifully. I recently took a Copic marker coloring class at my local stamp store and it helped me a ton but I think I still have a lot to learn! I colored this turkey (isn't he the cutest turkey ever?) with Copics and tried my best and blending the colors. I'll just keep practicing till I get it right :).

Pumpkin patch

For this background, I used painters tape to make the edges all white, then used my Koi watercolors to make the different shades of purples and greens. Make sure to let each square dry before going onto the next, so they don't bleed into one another. Makes an easy and colorful background!

Inchie Halloween card

I can't believe Halloween is in 3 weeks.

I decided to make a card with "inchies" on it. You can go to Pinterest for lots of ideas. I got out my Halloween set from Lawn Fawn and stamped and colored these candy corns and then cut them into 1" squares. The little yellow dots in the corner are Nuvo Crystal Drops in Dandelion Yellow.

Thankful for U

Who needs a leaf stamp when you can go outside, pick a REAL leaf off the tree and put it through your die cut machine??? This technique is called "Duoprinting with chlorophyll" and you can see this technique here. Lydia made some beautiful sympathy cards with her leaves and you have to see them. With one of the challenges, we are to use a Maple leaf with watercolor and this is what I came up with. I used just a dab of watercolor under the sentiment :). Sentiment is by Taylored Expressions.

I want to pull some more leaves to make more cards before they fall off :).
