Hello, My Friend

I recently joined a technique class put on the great Justine Hovey. I've been stamping for 20 years and I have already learned so many new things in the 3 classes we've had so far. She has online classes on the 1st and 15th of the month and they are wonderful. We really are learning so much!!  You can find out all about the class here and sign up here. It's really fabulous!! I highly recommend it!

For this background I just taped off the white areas and smeared the Oxide inks directly onto the paper. It's perfect for this challenge.

Here's this cute mouse again by my friend Chelsea at Inkystamper. This mouse is named Ralph and his "partner" Rosie just made her debut this week. Of course, I need her next! Isn't he just the cutest?

Back to School

I made this for a friend's daughter who starts middle school next week. I hope its not too "childish" for her but I think this little girl is so cute on her stack of books. This friend's daughter I used to send her box tops from my cereal boxes and alot of times her grade would win a free prize. I can't believe she's now in middle school. She lives in CO and I live in NC :).

Back to Basics and Beyond comes to an end

The design team on the Back to Basics and Beyond Challenge blog has decided to call it quits. I have only been on this design team for a short team but I learned so many new and old techniques that I hate to see it end.

Horizontal center step card for Halloween

I saw on facebook there's less than 100 days until Halloween? Really?  Ok, well I made a card. LOL I used to send out lots of Halloween cards but I seem to do less each year. I will probably only send out a couple this year and this is one of them.

I decided to make a horizontal center step card. I remember making a few of these cards but it has been awhile. You can see a pdf file here but I watched this you tube video, and it's quite easy! While I was using my paper trimmer to make the cuts and folds, I noticed my numbers were completely rubbed off and I could not see any of the measurements. I think it's time for a new paper trimmer!! LOL

I used a cute fox stamp by Purple Onion Designs. I masked him off and then stamped in a couple of these pumpkins by Unity Stamps. The itty bitty candy corn is by Stamps by Judith. I colored all with Copic markers.
