FAVE

This post is for the online watercolor group to use the word FAVE if you need to. Hopefully you can just copy and paste it to your computer and then print it off ....

Day One - Simply Watercolor Class with Kristina Werner, Card #4 (with Julie Ebersole as guest designer)

Sorry for all the posts in 1 day but I will try and post my cards I do under Day 2 under 1 post next time :). This is actually Card #4 from Day 1 and Julie Ebersole did this lesson for us.  I had my sister make me a pdf and a jpg image of the word FAVE so you are more than welcome to copy my image and print it off to use :). Again, only used watercolor paints and a Zig marker for words. No stamps.

Day One - Simply Watercolor Class with Kristina Werner, Card #3

For card 3, we drew circles (or hearts) and played with our watercolor paints to see how they moved around on the paper.  Again, no stamps. Just watercolor paints, a pencil to draw the circles and a Sharpie marker was used.

Here are my 2 cards I made:

I drew these hearts free hand
and they're kind of "jagged"
but I think I kind of like them
like this. LOL
I colored in the black with
Sharpie marker and wrote
Love You with a white gel pen

For the circles, I traced lids from my
kitchen. I used different colors to see
how they would blend into each
other. I used a Sharpie marker
to write Hello

Lazy Flip Flop Days

I watercolored the background using Tim Holtz Oxide inks.

Day One - Simply Watercolor Class with Kristina Werner, Card #2

Another fun watercolor card from Kristina Werner's online watercolor class today. No stamps!! Just paints, water, a paint brush, Sharpie marker and a white gel marker

Day One - Simply Watercolor Class with Kristina Werner

I'm taking Kristina Werner's Simply Watercolor Class this week. It's online and it started today. It's just $20 and I highly recommend it. Here's the link in case you want to sign up. We will have diffeent assignments all week long and she walks you through step by step. This is the first one on day 1 but I know I have 3 or 4 more to do later today. No stamps, just watercolor - all week long!!

Kristina made a Happy 50th Birthday card but since I know someone turning 21 soon, I decided to do that instead. After 3 attempts, I'm pretty happy with this one. (I do need to practice my plaid making skills. LOL)

Cards in Envy - On The Beach

For this week's challenge at Cards in Envy, the challenge is On the Beach. You can see the challenge here. All cards must fit into a standard size envelope for easy mailing.

I sometimes struggle making men's cards but this scene makes this is an easy card to make.
I first stamped the scene onto water-color paper and then I used my
Oxide inks to color the water. I made a mask for the sunset and used Distress
inks for the sunset. I then cut the card into 3 equal panels and put some black
cardstock behind it. The 30 I stamped in Memento Ink and cut it out
using a circle die by Memory Box.

It's been awhile since I turned "30" but I hope this guy will like it!
