He was sick in bed yesterday all day with what we assume was the flu. He woke up feeling much better today which is good.
I am slowly able to use my left hand more. Or at least my fingers. I can type with 2 hands again but slow. I go back to the orthopedic dr tomorrow so we'll see if he changes the "dressing". I am not expecting him to take out the stitches just yet since its only been 10 days. I think he said he likes to wait the full 2 weeks before the stitches come out so I will have to go back next week for that (I think).
I did go to my blood pressure dr today and my bp was way too high - 150/105 or something like that. She said it could be because of the pain I do have in my hand or because of all the Motrin I have been taking for the pain could cause it. I am now taking 2 Lisinoprils a day so we'll see if that helps.
Emily has a soccer game tonight so I am going to that for a little bit.

Today I've had a bit more pain
Wednesday, March 4, 2009
Its Wednesday and I'm still doing good
The pain isn't too bad at all. I slept off and on most of yesterday but today I got up, put my arm in a plastic bag and took a shower. That was a challenge but I did it!
That's all I have to report. Charlie and the kids are looking after me pretty good!!!

Old Memories ...
Facebook is new to me but in the past 2 months, 3 people from my past have found me. I already wrote about Diane and Laura, now its Heidi, from Largo Middle School. We go way back, some 30+ years!! She found me yesterday, she looked up my maiden name and there I was. She sent me a note, I sent one back, we chatted online this morning. She remembered when we went to the fair (in Largo, FL) and we wore "Vinnie Barbarino" (as in John Travolta from Welcome Back Kotter) tshirts. LOL How funny that she remembered that of all things. It just cracks me up!! Its great to be back in touch, after all these years. Heidi lives outside of Atlanta, GA with her husband and 2 teenage boys. I hope we keep in contact.
Its raining like crazy now but we could get up to 6" of snow
tonight and tomorrow. I am scheduled to have carpal tunnel surgery tomorrow at 11:45 am so depending on the weather situation, I may or may not go. I am sure they don't cancel surgery because of snow but you never know about things around here, especially since we don't get that much of the white stuff. I am sure we can get out with Charlie's car since he has 4wd. I bet school will be cancelled too. If you don't hear from me for a few days, its because I am not typing with just one hand. LOL At least its my left hand and not my right!!
