Dreaming of a White Christmas

I love this new stamp and die set by Catherine Pooler. I have never had a white Christmas. Growing up in FL for 25 years, I never even came close. I've been in NC for 32 years, we've never had snow on Christmas Day. We had snow falling on Christmas Eve one year but it didn't stick to the ground.

For this card, I used a stencil by Hero Arts and I partial stenciled the cardstock then added my snowman image. Made for an easy card!

Happy Fall

I love these stencils by The Greetery. They are 3 different stencils and you place them on top of each other with a different color to make these beautiful Fall trees. I am ready for our leaves to change in NC - it usually isn't until early November though. Our days and nights are getting much cooler now. I love Fall!!

You Make Everything S'More Fun

Ink Blending is one of my favorite techniques now that I have discovered Tim Holtz Oxide inks. They are a game changer!! I did not care for the Tim Holtz Distress inks but the oxide inks, I cannot live without them!! Also, the blending brushes - oh my word, they blend out your inks perfectly!!! I got mine at The Stamp Market and I even tried some cheaper ones from Amazon but I really like the ones from The Stamp Market better than the generic brushes I bought on Amazon. I CAN tell a difference! But some people say they cannot.

Pumpkins are actually images printed off internet
because I did not have any mini pumpkins at the
time (I have since remedied that and have my own
mini pumpkin stamps)
For the oval stencil, I used Taylored Expressions oval stencil which I also love!!

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

Here's another Christmas diecut I watercolored and I think the man looks a little like Abe Lincoln (LOL). Anyway, I love these Christmas carolers :).

Happy Howl-A-Ween

I have to wonder what Halloween will look like this year, with Covid! We don't get very many trick or treaters anyway but I am still going to mail out a few cards to my stamping friends, like I do every year. I love this image by Technique Junkies. I got it last year at the stamp convention in TN (sure would love to go again this year, not sure if they are having it or not!)

Watercolored diecut

Another Christmas card today using this great die by Spellbinders. This is my 2nd card like this that I have watercolored the image and I love how it came out.  I may do all my cards like this, this year. But who am I fooling? If I do that, I can't buy any new Christmas stamps and what fun would that be? (Besides I just bought a new Catherine Pooler stamp set that I am dying to ink up) For the snow on the black background, I used a stamp from Concord 9th. Large dots stamped in Hero Arts white ink - perfect for snow falling! On the inside I dug out my Stamp Market Christmas set from last year and added this car and tree.

The window to my heart is a beautiful view of friendship that I treasure

When I first saw this one challenge, I had to find a stamp
with a fence on it. I looked through ALL my stamps
and I literally had one stamp - THIS STAMP -
that had a fence on it. An oldie by Art Impressions.
For the background, I used stripes from Concord & 9th
and stamped them in navy and turquoise.

Merry & Joyful White on White

I have another Christmas card for you today that's white on white for this challenge. I knew I wanted something for the background and I knew snowflakes would be perfect. But since they had to be white, I first tried stamping them in Hero Arts white Unicorn ink but you could barely see them. So then I thought why not try embossing them and that worked better :).

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge 251 Seasons

At The Crafter's Cafe, our challenge this fortnight is Season - it can be Summer, Fall, Winter or Spring OR a food seasoning - as in salt, pepper or mustard... etc. I have this great image by Eureka Stamps. I colored him with Copic markers. I also made it into a fun fold card and this is so easy to make. You can see the link here

So this card was really fun. I cut out this awesome diecut and watercolored it with my Jane Davenport watercolors and water. I have never done this before and I will definitely be doing this more often. I watched this video here and it's really quite relaxing :).  I've already made a few of these using different backgrounds but kept this one white for this CAS challenge.

Cruisin' by to say Happy Birthday

The Greetery is becoming one of my new favorite "to me" stamp companies. They have so many awesome stamps and stencils. I am not big on stencils but when I saw this tree and the road I knew I had to have it with my car!!  The tree stencil is so easy - its 3 stencils and you just stamp each one a different color to get your Fall tree. I love it! On the pumpkins, I wanted them glossy so I used some Nuvo Ripened Pumpkin drops. They are perfect for that! I am sending this purple card to my sister for her birthday next week. She loves everything and anything purple!

Wish you the Most Beautiful Day

It's Friday Sept 11th. It was 19 years ago when the terrorist attacks changed the USA forever. How can that be 19 years ago?

For this challenge, it's yellow and green which I love these 2 colors together. This pineapple makes me smile :). This is a brand new color challenge that started September 1st. I colored this with copics.

Beach Hello

All stamps by Hero Arts
Clouds stencil by Hero Arts

This card is so easy to create using a Misty or the Tim Holtz
platform which is what I used here. They are all stamps
by Hero Arts and came out a few years ago but I just now
purchased them from Joann's when they were on sale. The set is
layering set - the waves are 3 separate stamps and you stamp
each layer in a different color. I colored the sand in by
using a Copic marker then stamped the word Hello
in the sand, along with the tiny footprints next to it.
