I've been thinking about you

It's been a long time since I made a long, skinny card. I couldn't get this big sentiment to look right on a regular size card so hence, the longer card. I love these new flowers from Concord & 9th. It's from the latest release. I have had them for a week and this is the first chance I've had to play with them. I've been too busy enjoying this gorgeous weather we have been having and my hummingbirds :).

I made a four fold card and I watched this video here. The digital papers are from Digital Delights by Louby Lou. I used multiple stamps from different companies. The VW with animals and suitcases is by Flora & Fauna. Clouds are by Memory Box. Sentiments by: PrintWorks, Reverse Confetti and Stampabilities.

My hummingbirds

My hummingbirds have been really out in the last few days. All day long!!  Yesterday I found these  itty bitty mason jar hummingbird feeders and had to hang them up. They love them!! I also found a little hummingbird swing at Home Depot and I had to get that too. Within an hour of putting it up, one was swinging on it and I actually captured it :).

Koala

I had a great birthday yesterday. I went to the park in the morning and took a long walk. It looks like I'm the only one there in the picture below but it was actually very crowded with walkers, runners, etc. Then I came home and layed out in the sun for about an hour and read my kindle. It was so hot, I think it got close to 87 degrees so I didn't last too long outside. Kids came over around 4 and we grilled out teriyaki steaks, had air fried potatoes, and asparagus. For dessert, we had a Frozen Sundae Birthday cake and it had 4 different flavors. My fave was the Banana Split. It tasted just like it! YUM!!!  It was a wonderful day!!

You're a Bright Spot in my World

As we enter into Phase 2 in NC, hubby and I decided to go out to Lowe's to look for some butterfly bushes. We could not believe the traffic was so much heavier, the parking lot was packed ... everyone did have their masks on and I even saw someone I knew that I hadn't seen in about 10 years!!

Today is my birthday. Kids are coming over tonight to grill out teriyaki steak and I picked out an ice cream cake at Publix that has 5 different flavors. It's also my daughter's boyfriend's birthday too so we will celebrate together. He's 29 today. A lot younger than me!! LOL

Dove zippered pouch

I'm finally getting to show a few things I have been sewing lately during this "stay at home" order we have in NC. Starting Friday (tomorrow) we will be "safer at home". Restaurants, hair salons and stores can be at 50% capacity so I cannot wait to get my hair cut.

I saved this Dove bag from my candies and sewed it into a little zippered pouch. I watched this you tube video and it was pretty easy. I sent it to my chemo pal who I send cards to twice a week. Dove is her favorite chocolate candy so I hope she likes it. It has material on the inside. Now I need to make me one since I love Dove candies too.

Tote bag for summer!

I learned to sew last year. I hadn't sewn since middle school and I took a few classes and learned to make this tote. I have made many tote bags since last year and this is my latest one, with a pocket inside. I was so scared to sew a pocket inside and it was so easy! HA I used burlap on the bottom which I had never used before either. I found the fabric at Walmart and I love how it came out!! I use this for my library books (our library never actually closed during all this. It's been curb-side pick up only since March).

Father's Day is just 4 weeks away. I only have to make one card for my hubby as my dad passed away 6 years ago. This card came together so fast and I love how it turned out :).

I'm so proud of you!

Still on "Stay at home" orders here in NC. This Friday, we hope to enter Phase 2 and more places will open up. This is Week 10 for us and my bangs are not too happy right now :(. My birthday is Saturday so let's hope I can go somewhere "fun" for my birthday but who knows?! And if we can, will I even want to?

I haven't stamped in several days. Our weather has been warming up so I've been outside pulling weeds, laying in the sun and doing more reading.

Cut It Up #200 Shoot for the Stars - Congratulations with stars

For the challenge at Cut It Up this week, it's Shoot for the Stars/Congratulations projects with stars. I made a graduation card for someone who will graduate from high school June 5th. But do to the Coronavirus, his graduation was put on hold until further notice. So now we wait ...

I used this awesome sentiment digital image by DRS Designs. I stamped the stars using Versamark ink onto this rectangle die cardstock by Gina Marie Designs. I applied WOW embossing powder to the stars. The graduation boy and girl die cuts are by Impression Obsession. They are my "go to" for graduation cards every single year. They are great!!
