I'm not sure the economy has recovered yet ...

By the looks of the craft fair yesterday, I'm not sure the economy is getting any better. We didn't have that great of a turn out. Compared to last year, others said it was alot less people and people that did come just were NOT buying much. Lots of vendors went home disappointed, including us. I only sold 10 necklaces and Michelle only sold a few of her pink owls. Now I have LOTS of necklaces left!! Oh well. We still had fun and met a bunch of really nice people.

Emily came home for the weekend. She and her sorority sisters went to the Race for the Cure walk in Charlotte. She took some awesome photos of the balloons going up to heaven. We had 4-5 women who came to the craft fair after they walked in the race. I was talking to one girl who had lost her best friend to cancer a few years ago. We compared her story to Robin's story and I could not believe the similiarities. I was convinced she was talking about Robin. But then she said her bff lived in WI and Robin was in NC so I knew they were 2 different people but I just could not get over how much alike their stories were. Very sad!

Going to the mall with Ms Emily today. With the cooler weather coming, she needs some new sweatshirts.

Sherri, I'm so sorry things didn't go well at the craft fair. I was afraid of that....I set up the past 2 years and barely made enough to cover the cost of the space/table. That's why I didn't do it this year but I had hoped it would be better for everyone. It is way too much work not to have a good turn out....there were not that many people there last year and absolutely no one was buying anything except food. I think there is just too much going on this time of year everywhere and people have to watch how they spend.

Bummer on not selling out but glad you had fun. You can always try to sell them online through different sites. I love the pictures of the pink balloons going up! Have fun with Emily. xoxo

This does suck not having more people for a turn out. SAD. Lots of hard work making your necklaces to have this happen. I may be facing the same now in 2 weeks at mine. I think everyone is trying to watch their pennies! hang in there. Hopefully your other friend will have some luck selling them for you too!
