Welcome to my open house virtual tour

Some of us at the Stamp Shack signed up for a open house virtual tour swap and I have decided to show alot of my snowmen that I have around the house. I have them ALL over!! The one photo is a snowmen necklace that I love to wear. I found it last year at Stein Mart. Isn't it adorable?

Alot of these I have collected over the years. Some have been given to me as gifts and I think my favorite snowman item I have is my snowman cookie jar. I found him in Wisconsin several years ago and had to carefully carry him back on the airplane so he would not break. I just love snowmen (almost as much as flip flops!!)

Some of you know how I love to start my Christmas cards in January and this year will be no exception. I made 10 a month this past year and this worked out great for me so I thought I would post my first card for 2009.

On this card, I used a Bella snowman/tree stamp (its one stamp) and used my Labels #1 nestabilities for the cut out. I used glitter as snow and on his hat and used fun flock on his scarf.

For a little giveaway, I have a bottle of Flower Soft (summer) and some holiday clear stamps (from Walmart). Leave me a comment of what collections you have, if any. If you don't have any, just leave me a comment anyway and I will enter you for a drawing. I will draw a name Dec 28th.

Next stop for the Open House Around the World
Midnight Creations in Maryland (she has until December 23 10 pm EST to December 24, 1 pm EST to post on her blog so if its not up yet, go back and check out what she has to show you)

Oh Sherri, I love your snowman collection. I have a small collection of them on my mantle, too. I have a pretty big rock and sea glass collection. I have a weird thing for rocks, so grounded and steady. They call to me. Happy Holidays!!

I love your snowman collection Sherri! What happy little guys! It sure is fun to see another little corner of your world. I am a basket collector. I learned to weave baskets when I lived in North Carolina. Since living here I have added some Alaskan native traditional baskets to my collection. I try to use as many as possible in functional ways.
Thanks so much for participating in the Open House...what a terrifically fun post!...Jan

I have several "collections". Like Jan, I collect baskets and use them throughout my home. I also collect photos - wherever I go, I take my camera. (usually) LOL

Such pretty snowmen. I have the same one (pic #6) but all my snowmen rest up during Christmas & they all come out in January. Makes me happy to have something new out once the tree is put away. Although, I'm starting to have a tree that is almost all snowmen.

Thanks for sharing your Christmas home with us!

I love snowmen too but I don't think I have nearly as much as you show. I loved looking at all of them. I do hae a snowman collection but my main "Christmasy" collection is Hallmark ornaments. My entire Christmas tree is full of them. One of these days I will take the time to count them. Each year I carefully unpackage each one and hand it on the tree. After Christmas they are again repackaged in their original box and tucked away in in huge plastic bin. I think I have 5 big bins full of just Hallmark ornaments. Sherri, thanks for sharing your open house.

I'm having a wonderful time on my virtual tour today. Your collection of snowmen is really neat. I guess I have a Santa collection because a lot of my tree ornaments and decorations are Santas.

You know what my main collection is...smiley faces. :) I really like how you made a slideshow with all your Shackie Christmas cards. I need to do this too as they are all so special to me. I love all of your snowmen Sherri, I collect snowmen too as well as Moose. I leave my snowmen out until spring and my moose are out all year long except a few that are really Christmasy get put away with the snowmen. I had to switch to moose cause I have so many snowmen out at Christmas I didn't have any more room for them. And we have plenty of snow to make a snowman just haven't done it yet. This week for sure tho! Merry Christmas, thanks for sharing the tour!

I love to collect cow themed items myself. And have a key chain collection somewhere....Did I mention that I collect paper crafting supplies too? lol
Merry Christmas! I really enjoyed touring your snowmen collection!
