This card was really fun to make. I made the background using Oxide inks and splashes of water on watercolor paper. I then water-colored my whale and die cut him out. I stamped the waves in Oxide inks (that's the beauty of Oxide inks vs Distress inks, you can stamp directly into the Oxide inks and it comes out beautiful). I fussy cut the waves and adhered it onto the card.

Such a cute card, love the use of distress oxides for both stamping and the background :)
ReplyDeleteI do love the waves, such a modern design. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYour cute card makes me smile, Sherri! I love how you fussy cut the waves!
ReplyDeleteHello Sherri: First of all, thank you for your sweet comment on my Fairy card, I so appreciate you visiting.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of Pattern Paper, I never know how to mix or match it on my cards so, this challenge was RIGHT UP MY ALLEY and I just jumped in.
I love the background you created for your totally happy little graduate, I know your cousin's daughter will love it and treasure it for always.
Thank you for the video, I've never seen this technique but I love it.
Big crafty hugs.
Maria Rodriguez.
Hee, hee, I "whaley" like your punny card ;)
