Happy Cake Day!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!! 2024 is upon us! How is that even possible? I counted up my challenge cards and I was in 260 challenges. And that's not counting all the challenges at Splitcoast Stampers I am in. I went with this challenge from CAS for this birthday card. I didn't make it "seasonal" - I just now realized that. Oh well. It is birthday season for some so does this count? LOL

2024 Calendar

I always give out hand made stamped calendars to friends for the holidays. I usually start in September but for whatever this year, I am getting a late start. 2 of my friends I won't even see until AFTER the holidays, probably the first weekend in January since of them moved to the beach so I still have time but I am almost done with the others. They have a clipped wooden frame that they just switch them out each year and they always love it when I give them. They measure 4x6.

Introducing myself to my new chemo buddy

If you haven't heard about a group called Chemo-Angels, you are really missing out. I have been a member for about 6 years and I have been a chemo angel to 6 or 7 chemo buddies. You can see about it here. I have a brand new one so I thought it would be fun to incorporate a photo of me and the kids on this card with this cute snowman. I have had this stamp for many, many years and found it at Tuesday Morning many years ago before they all went out of business. I usually like to make my Happy New Year cards out of it. I watercolored this image and then used some Stickles on the snow to give it some "Sparkle".

Wow. I can't believe it's December 1st. Christmas is coming FAST!! Here is one Christmas card I made. All die cuts by Tim Holtz. 

As You Like It - Favorite Person to Craft For and Why - I love to stamp cards for my chemo buddy. I joined a group called Chemo Angels and you can find the website here. They match you with someone who is going through chemo and you commit to sending a card (or two cards) once a week from 6 months - 18 months, depending on how long your chemo buddy gets their chemo. It cheers them up and it always makes me feel good to make them feel good. I currently had my last chemo buddy for 18 months and now I have a brand new person and I just sent my first card to her today.
