All eyes have been on Hurricane Ian. It's just devastating what it did to parts of FL. I grew up in FL, my mom and sister still live there. Thank goodness they were spared the worst of it and surprisingly, neither one ever lost power. Watching our news tonight, I just couldn't help but shred a few tears for the cities that were literally in shambles. So so sad!!!

I see the storm had been downgraded down to a tropical storm so we have been under a tropical storm warning all day. Now it's a hurricane again. UGH!  Expected to make landfall around Charleston, SC - that is about 260 miles from me now. It is expected to come right through Charlotte (I am near Charlotte, NC) sometime tomorrow night I think. It SHOULD be a tropical storm by then and we are expecting 3"-6" of rain and lots of wind tomorrow. I am trying to stamp some cute cards to take my mind of things!! Isn't this house mouse Christmas tree image the cutest?

I love Fall most of all

To make my Fall wreathe, I used the Gina K Designs wreath builder template and it places your leaves perfectly in a circle. I forget I have it and need to dig it out more often! I decided to put Pooh in the middle of these leaves. I added some Nuvo yellow drops to the pot of honey.

House Mouse with hummingbirds

I think this is one of my favorite of my House Mouse stamps, especially since I love my hummingbirds so much. I have been lucky to have had about 12 hummingbirds this summer. Sadly, they are slowly disappearing further south and I hate I have to wait until next April until I see them again.

Our Hobby Lobby stores have ALOT of their stamps, papers, inks, etc all marked down at 70% off so I grabbed this cat set for $3.50. It has 18 stamps with it!! I fussy cut all the cats and poked their heads through the holes of their "cat tower". This is going to a cat lover for her birthday next month.

Paw La La La La

I used designer paper for the background for this card instead of blending the sky with splatters. Then I watercolored the tree. It came together rather quickly.

I don't make baby cards much anymore but one of my best friends found out she is going to be a "grandma" so I made her a card, complete with a word search inside with words that all are called grandmother. LOL

Life is S'More Fun with You

How cute is Gus & Gertie roasting marshmallows? I even used some Nuvo white drops for the "puffy" mashmallows. I also wanted to make a night sky so I used my circle masking stencil from Taylored Expressions for the moon. I blended the sky and grass both using Distress Oxide inks. I made some clouds out of vellum and stamped directly onto one of them using Staz-On ink.
