Happy 50th!

A few friends have big birthdays this year so I am starting now and trying to make each one different. I haven't stamped with these balloons in awhile by The Greetery so I dug out my Tim Holtz platform and this was super easy to line up the stamps and have them match up rather nicely. It's so much harder without it! I love this color combo too!

Happy Birthday Stand Up Card

This card is really easy to make as long as you die cut first, then stamp once its die cut out. I am making quite a few of these cards for my friends and I have a list of who I am sending them to so I remember for next year not to do it again. LOL These color challenges work great for them and each one is a different color combo when I do it that way.

Just a Note from my sandbox

I am a huge fan of no-line coloring but rarely do it because I can't do it!! I have tried and tried and I use the no-line ink pad by Ink on 3 and I think this is one of my better cards with it. LOL I think I just need to practice the no-line coloring more often.

I'm sorry there are no words to make this better

My aunt who was 80 years old has been battling Diabetes 1 for about 10 years. She got it late in life and it was so hard to change her way to eating low sugar or no sugar. It finally got the best of her and she lost her battle on Valentine's Day. She lived in Ohio and I would visit her twice a year. I would call her once a week and tell her everything! She was like a 2nd mom to me and I am going to miss her dearly. I played in my craft room all day yesterday and made sympathy cards to mail to her son, sister, and her sister's daughter too. 

This stamp set by Unity Stamps is perfect for sympathy cards and I love how the background came out too.

It's Valentine's Day in the US. We are hopefully checking out a brand new place that literally just opened yesterday for lunch called Acai Frenzy. They have acai bowls and smoothies. Lots of different berries and granola so a nice healthy lunch for us. We will go pick it up and bring it home.

We are grilling out steaks on the grill with mashed potatoes and green beans for dinner.

 I made this for my hubby's birthday next month. 

I love this sentiment I used on this card. My hubby and I met 32 years ago and will be married 30 years in May. We got married in St Thomas on the beautiful Magen's Bay. We were really hoping to go back to Magen's Bay this May but with the Pandemic going on, we are going to stay in the USA if we even go anywhere. Not sure yet what we'll do. I used his college colors (navy and orange from UVA in Virginia)

Who remembers tie dye?  I have seen it everywhere again. Here is my tie dye card that I made for a challenge at Splitcoast. All you need is a coffee filter, ink pads or re-inkers, and diaper wipes. I only had brown coffee filters on hand so I decided just to use a napkin and it worked fine. Here is the video to see how it's done. Easy peasy!!

Right now I am working on my cards for March, I try and work a month ahead so now I am making cards with "Spring" on my mind. I dug out this digi image from a couple of years ago. Coloring this card makes me think how much longer until Spring!! I am going to focus on Spring-time cards now since it is next month! I cleaned out my stamp room yesterday and put away all my snowman stamps, Christmas stamps, etc. Onto flowers ... I like this color combo.
