If flowers were hugs, I'd send you a thousand

I just love this 2 step flower stamp set by Stampin Up. For the flowers, I used Oxide Inks Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch to show the different shades of blue on the flowers. For the grass, I used Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover.

For this week's challenge at Cards in Envy, it is "Love Me or Love My Pet". Create a love card or a card featuring a pet. You can see the challenge here. All cards must fit into a standard size envelope for easy mailing. 

I stamped the dog onto Neena cardstock and colored him with Copic markers. I stamped the itty bitty images in Versamark ink to make the background.

Remembering the life of someone so special

I saw this You tube video by Lydia and I had to try it. She calls it DuoPrinting with Chlorophyll.  I went outside and gathered up some leaves from my yard. Put them through my Big Shot and look what comes out!!!  A beautiful leaf print!!  I have no idea what the name of this plant is but I love how it is so detailed. And it even came out in different colors on the cardstock like this.

This week at Michael's, ALL Jane Davenport stamping "stuff" was 50% off. I have loved her watercolor paints since they first came out but I haven't bought any of her other things until now. These watercolor crayons glide on like BUTTER and they blend so easily with water - I love them!! And the glitter markers. I used it in her hair and I love those as well!! Glad I got both packs they had!!

I'm loving how these 2 cards came out. I used the same stamps but did 2 different techniques. It was so much fun trying the Stencil Transfer Batik technique that I saw on Lydia's blog today. You can see her blog here and her youtube video here.  It was fun to try and I had fun with my gel press and acrylic paints.



     

For this card, I used my acrylic paints onto
this stencil by Recollections. For the owl
stamp (Unity Stamp Company), I colored
him using Copic markers. Sentiment by
Amuse ArtStamps

For this card, I used the above stencil and did the
Stencil Transfer Batik technique that I saw on
Lydia's youtube channel and you can see it
done here. I love how it gives such a subtle
look of the hearts in the background. I colored
the owl with my Koi watercolor paints.

Hello Llama

For this card, I used a llama die and stamp set by CraftSmart that I found at Michael's. I embossed the background using a brick wall embossing folder by Darcie's then I diecut the word Hello and stuck it on. I used a little Stickles glitter and some Caribbean Ocean Nuvo Crystal Drops on his blanket. I colored him using Copic markers. Circle die is by Memory Box.

This fun fold card was so much fun to make. I found the tutorial online here.  I am sending it to a friend for Valentine's Day. I didn't want it to be too "mushy" so I found the inside verse about friendship online and printed it off.
