Today I looked out at the hummingbird feeder

and saw like 8-10 hummingbirds fighting over the feeder. I grabbed my camera and I went outside hoping to capture all of these birds at once around the feeder but never got the shot I wanted. I did take these pretty good action shots :).

And Ladybug turns 9 ...

Here's the birthday girl looking like she has an "attitude" at age 9. What do YOU think???? LOL

Grandma Thacker turns 85

Here is a photo of Charlie's mom and her grandchildren. Josh is missing from the photo, he was in Asheville for the day. We had a great day and the weather was wonderful. It was in the low 80's which is nice for the end of July.

I can't believe its Friday already

Where has this week gone? Charlie's mom comes tomorrow from VA for the week. She has a big birthday tomorrow - 85 years young. Charlie's brother Aubrey also has a birthday tomorrow - 65 years young. We have the whole family coming over for a cookout and we will just hang out for the day. Looking forward to it!!

Look what I found at Hobby Lobby today ...

The Bind-It-All. This came out the beginning of last year (I think) and I refused to buy it. What was I going to do with it? Did I need one? Nah, I did not give in and get one ... until today, that is. I had a 40% off coupon so yes, I gave in today. Here is what it looks like. I can make all kinds of cute books with it.

Yesterday Ellie & I went to Lexington

and we spent the day with Michelle. We got to see Michelle's new grandbaby who is just 3 weeks old. She was so tiny and had a head full of dark hair. Were my now teenagers ever that small? She was sooooo cute and did I mention how tiny she was? LOL We went out for barbeque for lunch, then went back to Michelle's house to stamp. Yes Michelle is a stamper too. I worked on my all purple ATC's and a few Halloween images. Yes, I am already thinking Halloween. Michelle has this scrapbook store behind her house and it was FULL of pretty papers, neat stamps and every embellishment you could imagine. Ellie & I had fun shopping right there and we both managed to spend some $$. You can visit her website here if you want to check out what she has. We had a great day and I can't wait to do it again.

We are back in NC

and I have to say I do NOT miss the humidity in FL. Not one single bit. We actually had pretty good weather down there except for the thunderstorms we had each afternoon but that kept the temps down so it was only really hot one or two of the 5 days we were there so it was not bad at all. I did get attacked by "no-see-ums". If you don't know what they are, look them up. I have 60 welts all over me. (Yes I counted! LOL)

I picked up Ladybug and Tudi this morning from the kennel. They seemed to have such a good time I really think they could've stayed even longer!! I took a photo of them with their 4th of July bandanas on. Aren't they cute?

Here is also a photo of my wonderful friend Gerry and me getting our soup :).

We are still down in Florida

and the kids are having a great time. Haven't seen much of Emily as she goes from one friend's house to the next. We've been having thunderstorms every afternoon and they last for several hours. I got to have bagels with Dawn, met up with Sherie D and got together with most of our neighbors to catch up on what we've missed. I am meeting Gerry for lobster bisque at our favorite place "Barebones". Gerry and I have been ordering the same thing for 8 years. LOL.

We are going to FL for a week

so I hope you all have a very happy and safe 4th of July!!! (photo found on google images)

Oh, this morning when I woke up it was a chilly 55 degrees. Oh my gosh, I got a small taste of what fall will be like in a few months. I love cooler temps!! We won't see those temps in FL .. No way no how!!
